The press render and specifications of a new Huawei Android smartphone have appeared online. Dubbed as Huawei Ascend G700, the smartphone seems to be a part of company’s mid-range Android portfolio.
As per the details shared by Twitter user paopao0128, the new Ascend G700 will come with Android 4.2, Mediatek MT6589 quad-core processor, and HD LCD display of unknown size. The smartphone will be sold in two variants – W-CDMA and TD-SCDMA.
Huawei Ascend G700 is likely to replace G600, which is company’s current mid-range Android phone with features like 4.5-inch qHD display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 8MP rear camera and Ice Cream Sandwich.
There is no word on when we will see G700 in the market, but given the fact that it has been quite some time since G600 debuted, G700 should be coming soon.
In related news, Huawei is getting ready to launch Ascend Mate 6.1-inch phone in China, where it will be sold for ¥2,688 (about $430).
Update: A fresh leaked has revealed more details about the phone. Ascend G700 will reportedly come with 5-inch display and 2GB RAM. Here is another image of the phone (via).
